Whether you are stay in the tropical climate or in other climate. The important thing for make a good garden is still plants that you will plant and suit with the conditions and climate in your area. Fertile soils and enough water to pouring the garden is important to keep the garden grow well and look nice.
With the tropical gardens, you don’t have to worry because the tropical climate is warm in year around.
Good place to make a tropical gardens is in between zone 9 – 11. It’s ideal to for growing a tropical gardens. Conditions in this area mostly warm, humid ( even lots of moisture ). Winter are mild at this area and not to colds at the winter time.
Popular plants in the tropical garden including palm, orchids, hibiscus, gardenia and some others which is giving vivid colour and nice look into your garden. You will also find this plants : banana plants, bamboo, fuchsia, hibiscus, trumpet vine, and passion flower.
Many common plants in tropical garden will giving “jungle look” which is palm, banana, hibiscus giving more decoration into the garden.
Tropical Gardening Tips
Whether you stay at the tropical area or not in tropical area. Some of us not stay in not tropical area but you can still plants some tropical plants.
- First, you need to make sure that your plant is grow healthy. This can made with fertile soils even with organic matter and moist. Also enough pouring water into the plants that you plant in the garden.
- Do not fertilize too much especially involving nitrogen because will make your plants sick or dead and not healthy because too much nitrogen. You need to put just enough as need and also pour water after that to bring the nitrogen to the root of the plants.
- Another trik is to use container as much as possible so you can move your plant to the place that you need easily when needed.
- Finally, if you live outside of a tropical-like zone , you can still enjoy tropical gardens. However, you’ll have to bring them indoors in winter time or in some cases grow them inside year round. With this in mind, they will need lots of humidity so the use of a humidifier or water-filled trays of pebbles may be helpful in your garden. Daily misting also helps provide extra humidity to the plant, especially when plants are grouped together in one place or corner.
